Our new client is an established owner-managed business in the service sector who works closely with the public sector on key contracts. With their Head office in Hull and a sub-branch based down in Derbyshire, they offer a diverse range of services to organisations all over the UK. Working with the MD, you will be a new addition to the business allowing them to make key business decisions and understand better their cashflow and accounts. There is the opportunity for you to influence the strategy and long-term aspirations of the organisation and as such, suits an individual who has the confidence to represent the company at a high level.
Key responsibilities:
1. Producing the monthly management accounts
2. Monitoring the cashflow and producing forecasts and projections
3. Maintaining the fixed asset register
4. Overseeing the work of other staff who will aid with the ledgers, credit control, and expenses
5. Managing the financial accounts
6. Aid with future strategies and plans
7. Liaising with the external accountant regarding payroll, year-end, and statutory accounts
The candidate:
* Experience of working for an owner-managed business essential
* The ideal candidate will be part/fully qualified in a professional accountancy recognised qualification such as ACCA/ACA/CIMA
* Attention to detail essential along with a pragmatic and proactive approach to your work
On offer:
* A part-time permanent position working around 3 days per week from their offices in Hull. Some flexibility regarding hybrid working on occasion.
* Core business hours are 9am to 5pm although consideration is given to an individual requiring alternative hours.
* Company bonus scheme paid out quarterly depending on gross profit.
* Free onsite parking.
