Data Engineer Associate Salary Circa £35,000 Location: Bristol (50% of office attendance is mandatory) Aviva are currently looking for Junior Data Engineer to join the Aviva on a permanent basis. A bit about the job: As a Data Engineer Associate, you will be working on latest tech stack and will be working closely with senior associates. Central solutions are used across Aviva to deliver key projects. Aviva has requirements for more such solutions to pick and choose from off the shelf to build complex data pipelines. Solutions span offerings around building complex data pipelines using plug and play utilities, where big data technologies on cloud offering are used to deliver key projects. You will be able to use latest tech stack, and work on technologies like Snowflake, use Python to build tools and will have mentorship from senior associates to shape up your career further down the line. Skills and experience we’re looking for: Good knowledge around cloud technologies in AWS: RDS, EMRs, Serverless, have good insight and keen to explore modern OLAP platforms like Snowflake. Be able to demonstrate experience in languages like Python and demonstrate understanding on distributed frameworks. Preferably work experience in Lake house implementation with cloud warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake et, is preferred. Understanding of CI/CD processes & VCS ( Version Control Systems ) & SCM ( Source Code Management) tools. Like to explore new technologies and on the lookout to find opportunities to modernize and help grow team.
