Computer Science Teacher - Bath and NE Somerset
Protocol Education are working with Bath and NE Somerset based secondary schools to complete their staffing teams for this academic year. With that in mind, we are looking for passionate, committed and enthusiastic Computer Science teachers and specialists to positively impact the lives and education of students across the area.
Start Date: ASAP
Closing Date: 30/9/24
Qualified Teachers paid to scale
Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging IT and Computer Science lessons to students
2. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
3. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
4. Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
5. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support
Required Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Degree in Computing or related field
3. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Computer Science
Experience:
1. Proven experience teaching Computer Science at secondary school level
2. Previous work with children and young people
3. Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Excellent understanding of Computer Science concepts and principles
2. Effective classroom management skills
3. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Computer Science specialism
2. Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
