Are you wanting to start a career in secondary education but lack the experience or confidence?
Interested in working alongside a teaching qualification or PGCE?
Vision for Education is seeking confident, motivated individuals to join our partnering secondary schools as Classroom Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a degree, industry experience, or those looking to explore a career in education. You’ll have the chance to work on daily supply or longer-term contracts, providing you with hands-on experience in the classroom.
As a Classroom Supervisor, you will lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher for groups of up to 30 pupils. You’ll cover a variety of subjects, but don’t worry – you won’t need to be an expert in each one! Pre-planned lessons will be provided in advance. Your main role will be to manage the classroom, ensure students stay on task, maintain classroom behaviour, take registers, and provide feedback to the absent teacher.
This is an ideal stepping stone for those considering a teaching career or applying for Initial Teacher Training. While prior experience in a secondary school is a plus, it is not essential. Vision for Education offers in-house Classroom Supervisor Training, ensuring you are well-prepared and supported from day one.
