Your Role:
As Senior Bid Manager you will have overall responsibility for managing a small team of bid professionals through the full bid life cycle across our entire Energy business which consists of seven business units. With a common goal, operating in both existing and emerging markets, these business units have quite specific individual bid requirements which need to be managed. You will work closely with our clients and internal stakeholder teams through the bid life cycle to deliver a compelling offer to our clients to help win new business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Structure and lead significant, complex regional and international bid opportunities whilst taking overall responsibility for the coordination of the technical, commercial, financial, tax, key account, HSSEQ and group inputs into the bids
2. Take overall responsibility for tracking and reporting on pipeline activity, scheduling, deadlines and bid quality and suggest improvements to internal processes related to bid management in order to support continuous improvement
3. Ensure pre-qualification and tender documentation are prepared in accordance with Company’s lMS and in consultation with appropriate teams
4. Create a library of written content, working alongside our subject matter experts (SMEs) to streamline future bids
5. Produce accurate bid pricing for internal approval and to meet with bid requirements and negotiate contract terms following input from the commercial team
6. Provide project and contract handover information to project managers and support project managers with sales aftercare to clients
7. Coordinate our responses to call offs under our key client frameworks
8. Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
Qualifications:
1. You will have experience of leading complex multi-disciplinary bids, framework management, and providing expert bid coordination and management within a consulting, professional services, marine or construction organisation
2. You will have experience leading a team
3. Excellent bid writing skills with ability to present written information in a compelling structured and balanced way
4. Willingness and ability to travel as needed
