Major Recruitment are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Northallerton. Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with an impeccable reputation for quality of products and services.
Due to substantial growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Duties:
* Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant - includes pneumatic and hydraulics.
* Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture and familiar with safe system of work (Permit to Work systems).
* Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
* Strong communication and organisational skills - able to provide detailed shift reports.
* Experience of working as part of a Maintenance Team on a manufacturing site.
* Demonstrate effective systematic problem-solving skills.
* Able to work autonomously and react quickly in a high-pressure situation.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Role Requirements:
* 2 Years+ Electrical / Electronic Practical Production Engineering Experience.
* Proven track record in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
* Proficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring.
* In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
* Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D).
* Competent in electronic fault finding.
* Understanding of safe working practices.
* Experienced in root cause analysis and problem solving.
* PC literate and competent computer skills.
* Flexibility.
