A vacancy has been created in the Cleansorb organization due to internal promotion. The successful candidate will work with the global Cleansorb team to support efficient and timely delivery of products locally and internationally, sometimes to very tight deadlines.
The Logistics agent is accountable for:
* Analyzing transportation and distribution methods and procedures to develop and utilize the most economically advantageous and efficient means of delivering the organization’s products, based on an evaluation of freight classifications, tariff rates, and operating capabilities concurrent with delivery schedules and deadlines.
* Reviewing proposals by carriers and agencies for modifications of rates and transportation regulations to determine their impact.
* Advancing the corporate position or petitions to regulatory bodies.
* Monitoring Customs laws and regulations for each country for division impact and compliance.
* Handles special projects, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Conduct monthly physical inventory count and generate stock report for all Cleansorb inventory
* Maintain and update demand planning forecast with input from regions & Cleansorb team
* Work with Legal to generate legal documents for new suppliers
* Request PO’s from Purchasing and send to suppliers
* Work with Distribution Agent to ensure orders are prepared as per PO
* Coordinates generation and filing of lab test results
* Coordinates the product QC sampling process
* Troubleshooting issues with ongoing orders
* Raise flags when there are issues that add risk to timely delivery
* Keep good lines of communication with suppliers to ensure they are well informed of future product requirements
* Maintains good line of communication with Cleansorb Team and NFS regional staff
* Works closely with local third party warehouses on a daily basis
* Create commercial invoices and packing list for every order
* Send relevant clearance documents to clients for every shipment
* Ensure every customer order is correctly labelled and document prior to shipment
* Set up trucking and freight forwarders to move cargo
* Maintain agreed safety stock for key products
* Work with compliance and brokers on ensuring HS codes are up to date on customs documents created.
* Work with the Finance team for customer invoicing, supplier payments, cash collection.
SUCCESS FACTORS
* Good understanding of requirements for shipping chemicals (Haz & Non Haz)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proactive approach to ensuring seamless operation
* Some technical knowledge of chemicals an advantage but not essential
* Works well under pressure
* Needs to be able to answer occasional queries outside working hours
* Self-motivated
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently
* Can manage more complex challenges when required with minimal supervision
* Knowledge of Oil and Gas industry.
* Advanced PC skills, including Word and Excel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor’s degree (educational equivalent), or 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of education, AND 8 years’ experience in Operations, Logistics, Services, or Supply Chain.
* Knowledge of transportation and distribution methods.
* Knowledge of Company products.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Professional certification may be required.
