We are looking for Consulting Pathologist (Oncology and Immunology) to provide part time expert advice to our client, working on annotations for AI. We are building a small team to support on client requests - typically 10 hours per month but we can vary this for the right experts. You will need to be able to spend about 2 hours in normal working hours/ week working with our client. This role is working to annotate pathology slides. The work can be done remotely and is available on an ad hoc basis. We can consider locations anywhere in UK if you are set up as a limited liability business with insurance for this work and no conflicting interests. The role is primarily annotation services for research projects and pipeline development. An example task will be to annotate images from H&E slides with nuclei contours and to specify the cell type. Other work can be requested and outlined on a Requisition basis and so we need people who can work flexibly on this as an independent consultant. Responsibilities: Clinical Expertise: Provide expert pathology consultation in Oncology and Immunology. Analyze and interpret pathological findings in various tissue types related to oncological and immunological disorders. Stay abreast of the latest developments in oncology and immunology research. Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, bioinformaticians, and clinicians, to integrate pathology expertise into research projects. Provide guidance on experimental design and data analysis for projects involving pathology data. Data Analysis: Utilize advanced pathological techniques and tools to analyze complex datasets related to oncology and immunology. Contribute to the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms for pathology data analysis. Research Contribution: Actively participate in research activities, including manuscript preparation, abstract submission, and conference presentations. Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications. Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality standards in pathology data interpretation and reporting. Implement and adhere to quality assurance and control processes. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology. Experience: Substantial experience in pathology with a focus on Oncology and Immunology. Proven track record of contributions to research and clinical practice. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with digital pathology and computational pathology tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
