Position Summary
This is a full-time Operations Manager role located on-site at Glen Clova Hotel and Luxury Lodges (postcode DD8 4QS). Accommodation can be provided for the ideal candidate. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel and lodges, managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the smooth running of all facilities and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee the day to day operations of the hotel and lodges
* Do regular checks of the various areas of hotel and lodges to ensure they are presented well and are running efficiently
* Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.
* Ensure full compliance of Hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
* Handling complaints and oversee the service recovery procedures.
* Ensure revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
* Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel and management.
* Deliver hotel budget goals and set other shortand long term strategic goals for the property.
* Developing improvement actions, carry out cost savings.
* Closely monitor the hotel's business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
* Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, etc, are on target and accurate.
* Maximizing room yield and hotelrevenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
* Helping in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third-party suppliers for essential equipment and services.
* Act as a decision maker in hiring key staff.
* Coordination with HOD's for the execution of all activities and functions.
* Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
* Manage and develop the Hotel team to ensure career progression and development.
* Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of guest complaints.
* Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
* Corporate client handling and take part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.
* Responsible for Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.

* Rezlynx or other hotel booking system knowledge
