You’ll oversee digital marketing, implementing high-impact media strategies to boost sales across channels and expand our active customer base through effective acquisition and retention. In this collaborative role, you’ll work with stakeholders across the business to ensure top customer experience across all platforms and use insights to drive continuous improvement. In collaboration with the Technical Product Leads and the IT function, you’ll develop strategies and initiatives to optimise mobile and website performance—enhancing aesthetics, navigation, functionality, and overall user experience to drive e-commerce success. Working closely with the trade, merchandising, and marketing planning teams, you’ll identify and execute in-season commercial opportunities to grow sales. Alongside the Director of Marketing Operations and the customer insights team, you’ll use data and insight to prove the effectiveness and incremental value of our marketing spend. By partnering with the marketing team, you’ll leverage customer data, metrics, and market insights to inform decision-making, elevate the customer experience, and drive profitable growth for the business. You’ll keep the team informed by sharing key information and identify development opportunities to support their growth and ambitions. The skills you’ll be sharing with the team: Proven success in leading the commercial direction of a fast paced, international business within a multi-channel digital retail environment. A background in retail and e-commerce, with a deep understanding of brand identity, customer behaviour, and data analysis. Creative, numerical and analytical, able to blend creativity with data-driven decision-making, with a drive to achieve sales and profit growth with a customer and brand centric approach. Experience in leadership roles focused on digital trade, operations and marketing within the retail sector - ability to lead, manage, develop and grow a team. Possess the personal stature and gravitas to gain the confidence of a broad range of key stakeholders in a fast-moving environment, and gain consensus amongst senior colleagues. Experience of initiating new strategic directions for the business and achieving objectives, with a strong emphasis on profitability and growth. Proven experience in negotiating and managing high value contracts with agencies, ensuring optimal value and service throughout contract lifespan. Experience in digital marketing within international markets – particularly north America and continental Europe. Working knowledge of Magento would be advantageous.
