Feedstock and Digestate Manager
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Feedstock and Digestate Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee the procurement of feedstock materials and the management of digestate by-products for anaerobic digestion, including crop, waste, and residues.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Sourcing, negotiating, and securing supply and offtake contracts for anaerobic digestion, ensuring quality and consistency within budget.
* Managing third-party relationships effectively.
* Overseeing supplier and delivery administration to ensure all operational, commercial, and compliance requirements are satisfied.
* Ensuring procurement and related KPI targets are met.
* Maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of feedstock supply to meet future requirements, with clear visibility of a rolling 12-month feedstock delivery plan.
* Engaging directly with landowners, farmers, and agricultural contractors to develop expert knowledge of the feedstock landscape in designated geographies.
* Overseeing the intake, storage, quality control, and feeding regime of various feedstocks, ensuring compliance with environmental, Ofgem, and HSE regulations, while continually testing and monitoring performance and making adjustments as required.
* Overseeing the storage, quality control, and distribution of digestate, ensuring compliance with environmental and HSE regulations and optimising its use or sale.
* Developing and managing budgets related to feedstock intake and digestate handling, aiming to meet financial targets and optimise operational costs.
* Working closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate activities and maintain effective communication channels.
* Attending statutory and internal meetings and providing reporting as required.
* Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Experience and personal attributes:
Prospective candidates should be educated to degree level (or have proven experience) and be able to provide evidence of:
* Experience in waste management, agriculture, or a related field is essential.
* A strong understanding of relevant environmental laws and regulations pertaining to waste and by-product management.
* Excellent negotiation skills and business acumen.
* Experience in overseeing operational processes and logistics.
* Proficiency in budgeting and financial analysis to manage costs and optimise operations.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in their work with robust time-management skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to write communications that are eloquent and concise.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* First-rate organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
* The right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, with the option of hybrid working for the right candidate.
They offer a competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) and 25 days holiday plus a day off for your birthday in addition to bank holidays. There is free parking on site.
