Purpose of the role: Invar Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead and drive our sales efforts across our portfolio of warehouse automation solutions, including software, hardware, and services. Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales team, developing strategic sales plans, building strong client relationships, and ensuring that sales targets are consistently met. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in B2B sales, within the automation or logistics industry, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets across Invar’s range of warehouse automation solutions, including software (IWS), hardware and associated services. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive business growth, including identifying target markets and new business opportunities. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation through to contract negotiation and closing deals. Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to align sales strategies with product developments and market demands. Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reporting on sales performance to senior management. Ensure the sales team is effectively trained on Invar’s products and solutions, as well as the competitive landscape. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and product positioning. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Invar’s solutions to existing customers. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote Invar Group’s offerings and generate leads. Support the professional development of the sales team, providing mentorship, guidance, and regular performance feedback. Work closely with pre-sales, technical, and project teams to ensure smooth handovers and successful project delivery. Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales management role, within the warehouse automation, logistics, or industrial automation industries. Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team. In-depth understanding of the sales process, with strong negotiation and closing skills. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Knowledge of warehouse automation, software solutions, and/or industrial hardware. Proficiency in CRM software, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
