I am looking for a residential Project Manager or Senior Site Manager up Blackburn way to come in and put a big push on an ongoing site that is coming to an end this summer. There's been a few hold ups on this site due to a niggle on a land issue which has now been resolved but it does mean everything has kinda bottle necked i.e. alot is needing to be done all at once. If you've vast experience getting the back end of sites completed to a tight deadline (think year end) or get the most out of spinning a load of plates at once then I reckon this one will be for you.
For that, the business is wanting to bring in an all-encompassing PM (or Senior Site Manager, however you want to call it) who'll run another Senior Site Manager and an Assistant over two phases of the site, one a set of houses and the other a set of flats. It's likely the PM probably taking a more hands on role on the flats.
Overall, we're talking around 130 units that are all at a progressed stage (70-odd houses, 50-odd flats) that'll need to be handed over around July/August time so a track record of handing over alot at once to a client is essential. And also being able to manage that clients expectations (it's a housing association).
Because of the fixed time frame, they'll either look to bring you on a FTC contract (let's say 6 months with salary and car allowance) or consider freelance, too.
What are you getting out of this? Well, no bull, it's a case of 'here's the job, this is the outcome needed, let's crack on' - so short term but high gain and no messing about. Get in, get it done and get outta there! To be fair, freelancers have come in here and stayed, too (they do have loads of work) so it won't harm to make some lovely new construction fwiends, either. You'll be hired to do a job and do it well.
Summary:
***Fixed term Project Manager wanted for end of site in Blackburn
***6 months work handing over approximately 130 units - 75 houses and 55 apartments.
***Experience hitting these types of deadlines and ideally working with a client/housing association is needed.
***Interviews are taking place now so a quick meeting and start is available.
