Overview of role
Reporting to the Head of Buying for all non-still wine, the Buyer is responsible for managing the relationships of suppliers across all relevant categories, reviewing and maintaining the portfolio, delivering JBP, analysing pricing, reporting and supporting all stakeholders in relation to day-to-day processes.
Duties & responsibilities
1. Responsibility for managing supplier relationships.
2. Ensuring the best possible Supplier terms are achieved that best support the needs of Enotria’s customer base.
3. Work with designated brand owners and European brokers to ensure that Enotria pricing is competitive in the domestic market.
4. Work alongside the Head of Buying on the development of a detailed promotional calendar to maximise the revenue for both our Suppliers and Enotria.
5. Meet with all allocated Suppliers on a quarterly basis to review portfolio performance and agreed JBP strategies/targets.
6. Overseeing, managing and entering annual price movements across the Supplier portfolios, and negotiate to mitigate the financial impact to Enotria.
7. Provide regular portfolio reports to the Head of Buying.
8. Support the wider Company digital strategy through collaborative support of the supplier base.
9. Responsible for collaboratively achieving our annual buying targets.
10. Work with Demand Planning to support the ordering process and ensure that the right stock is being ordered.
11. Participate in and present at monthly Sales Team meetings when applicable.
12. Provide platforms and resources to support our Sales Teams in growing distribution of the allocated portfolios.
13. Responsible for ensuring product data is accurate and up to date in our systems for all lines.
14. Work with the Sales Teams to ensure they have the correct information, particularly when it concerns major tenders and key customers.
15. Support the Sales Team with pricing requirements and requests.
16. Responsible for sourcing one-off (case in/case out) products at the specific request of customers.
17. Buy in stock deals for promotions.

1. Excellent category, products, suppliers and marketplace knowledge
2. Strong negotiation and influencing skills
3. Ability to maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products, with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives
4. Ability to assess products on a qualitative, commercial and marketability basis
5. Team player; able to actively contribute and participate as a member of a team and work well with colleagues at all levels
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills
7. High level of commercial awareness
8. Ability to be tactful and diplomatic
9. Ability to absorb and assess information quickly
10. Strong analytical skills, possess numerical skill set to interpret statistics and make commercial decisions
