Job summary The Dermatology Department are actively seeking qualified consultant within the area or for those who are looking to relocate and commence employment as a locum consultant. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Dermatology departments in the whole of the UK and open yourself to a fantastic learning environment. This hospital in Greater Manchester is perfectly located within a thriving city, which has a great background of supporting doctors from all backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor who is seeking their first role as a substantive consultant after completing their specialist registration. Primarily based at Bury Dermatology services with possibility of some activity at other sites; Radcliffe Primary Care Centre (M26 2SP), Fairfield General Hospital (BL9 7TD) and Salford Royal Hospital (M6 8HD). Main duties of the job The post holder will provide general dermatology clinics, skin cancer clinics and skin surgery mainly within Bury Dermatology Services within Northern Care Alliance Dermatology. Management of the existing workload may change during this appointment, and this will be reflected within the job plan as necessary. On call is provided to the Greater Manchester area by the registrar and consultant on call. This takes the form of one week of 9am-5pm on call (1:19). There is scope at SRFT to develop further specialist interest if the candidate has got another area of expertise within dermatology.
