Rogers Wholesale Foods Ltd have a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Buyer to be part of the Buying team. This role is perfect for an individual who can work in a methodical manner, good numeracy skills, computer literate and has effective communication skills via telephone and email, with a bubbly personality and a can-do attitude. At Rogers Wholesale Foods Ltd our ethos is to reduce waste purchasing products that will be destroyed, therefore this role is unique from most buying positions as you will learn the art of bidding. Training will be provided, recognising this as a valuable opportunity for an individual to build a rewarding career within our expanding business.
* Assist the buyers in sourcing new suppliers to expand our business,
* Keeping up to date with the pricing market
* Monitor competitors pricing to inform our purchasing decisions.
* Process of orders accurately onto the system for the group
* Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
* Address any issues or concerns regarding deliveries, quality, or pricing in a prompt and professional manner.
* Liaise with the warehouse managers regularly giving them accurate information of stock being delivered, looking at pricing with premium products.
* Knowledge of the demographic area’s, knowing what sells well in each locations.
* Interaction with the buying team to make decisions on product, pricing and quantities.
* Support other administrative tasks within the department as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
