We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as an HR Consultant Group, Retirement Solutions & Asset Managment to join our HR Business Partnering team reporting into the Head of HR
Job Type: 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: This role could be based at our Midlands, Edinburgh or London offices with time spent working in the office and at home.
Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

Salary and benefits : £40,000 - £45,000 plus 8% bonus up to 16%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, flexible working, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.
The role
HR play a critical role in supporting the business in delivering on the Group strategy to achieve our purpose of helping people secure a life of possibilities. The HR Consultant will play a crucial role in the HR Business Partnering team by providing high quality and professional generalist support to the Heads of HR and HR Business Partners as they work with the business.
The HR Consultant position offers an excellent opportunity to develop in the generalist HR career path through a broad and varied role that provides access to all specialist areas across HR. The HR Consultant will work closely with the HR Business Partners and Heads of HR on key deliverables that support the People Strategy, engaging with the subject matter experts across HR as they deliver, including:
1. Reviewing talent and succession plans across the business
2. Supporting through the annual performance review cycle
3. Act as the close liaison with the People Consultancy team on oversight and active management of underperformance, long-term sickness and absences
4. Supporting in the design and implementation of organisational design changes
5. Collating and analysing key people metrics and producing regular reporting for business areas
6. Support on project activity, including owning some workstream activity where appropriate
7. Support early careers and development programmes
What are we looking for?
8. Passion to develop HR knowledge and experience – having some existing experience of HR practices is beneficial but not essential
9. Proactive and practical in identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in HR processes and practices
10. Ability to think independently and work under self-direction
11. Experience with dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels
12. Experience in managing and analysing data
