With recent acquisitions of Tile Choice and CTD Tiles stores, our reach and market presence are expanding, and we're looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to join our finance team and help drive our business forward.
Role Overview:
This is an exciting, varied role within a collaborative and skilled finance team. As Finance Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact through financial analysis, process improvements, and strategic insights in a dynamic retail environment. This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional ready to contribute to a business that values growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Trade Meeting Performance Analysis: Prepare the weekly performance pack for trade meetings, delivering actionable insights and trend analysis to support business decisions.
* Streamline Financial Processes: Lead initiatives to improve reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, ensuring our financial processes are efficient and scalable.
* Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Oversee the preparation of standard daily and monthly reports with a focus on accuracy and enhancement.
* Project Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to implement new processes, controls, and business improvements.
* Cashflow & Month-End Oversight: Manage cashflow and temporarily oversee the month-end process, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliation during maternity cover.
* VAT & Audit Support: Assist with quarterly VAT returns and play a key role in the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and operational integrity.
* Ad-Hoc Analysis: Deliver ad-hoc financial insights that support leadership in strategic planning and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications: Ideally ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified (or qualified by experience).
* Experience in Retail: Previous experience within a retail or similar finance function is advantageous.
* Management Accounts Expertise: Proven experience in producing monthly management accounts and providing data-driven insights.
* Advanced Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyse complex datasets and present clear, actionable findings.
* Adaptable & Project-Focused: Comfortable taking on ad-hoc projects with an agile approach, ensuring flexibility in a dynamic environment.
* Attention to Detail: Keen eye for accuracy and thoroughness in financial reporting and analysis.
