We are looking to appoint a number of Assistant Psychologists on 6 month fixed-term contracts, to join our Mental Health Together teamwithin the Thanet Mental Health Together team working with adults with mental health difficulties. The Team comprises of a multidisciplinary team who deliver high quality interventions with a range of modalities within NICE guidelines for treating severe and enduring mental illnesses and Complex emotional difficulties

As an Assistant Psychologist you will be working with adults with mental health difficulties within the Mental Health Together team.
The Team comprises of a multidisciplinary team who deliver high quality interventions with a range of modalities within NICE guidelines for treating severe and enduring mental illnesses and Complex emotional difficulties
In particular:
To participate in the provision of direct clinical work through delivery of a CBT informed treatment called Initial interventions which is delivered by a group of specialist psychological practitioners supervised by psychological therapists. Full training and weekly supervision will be provided.
• To deliver ‘initial interventions’ to people accessing adult mental health services as part of the Clinical Care Pathways in the CMHT.
• Specific and targeted training will be provided by experienced
Psychological Practitioners and all interventions supported by weekly clinical supervision from Psychological Practitioners.
• To undertake other structured therapeutic psychological interventions in an identified service or services using own independent initiative within guidelines provided by a qualified psychologist.
• To undertake clinically and service performance related administration, audit and research projects, teaching and service improvement project work under the professional guidance of a qualified psychologist.

• To use initiative and act independently within guidelines, knowing when to refer to a qualified psychologist for clinical decisions and guidance.
