Night Shift 8pm to 8am
As a care assistant you provide the highest possible standards of person-centred care and service to our residents, whether working individually or as part of a team.
You will work weekly contracted hours on a rota basis which include weekends and public holidays.
You will have a professional, reliable and flexible attitude as well as the ability to work individually or as part of a team. You will have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to demonstrate a respectful, courteous, patient and compassionate manner at all times. Ideally you will be qualified to Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.
As part of your role you will check on residents throughout the day or night, providing personal care where required and helping them with activities that they would usually perform (or have in the past performed) themselves but cannot now do so without assistance. This means promoting and encouraging as much independence as they can achieve while maintaining their dignity and self-esteem, all under the direction of your manager and working as part of a team.
You will have an input into their care plans, alongside residents and/or their representatives, and will support residents to participate in wellbeing activities both inside and outside the home. Throughout, you will develop positive, helpful and caring relationships with residents and their families, as required
