We’re searching for a Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable in Bristol to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.
Edyn is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join the Accounts Payable team. The role will report into the Accounts Payable Manager and will be completing end-to-end Accounts Payable tasks across a number of legal entities.
The Accounts Payable Finance Assistant will play a critical role within the Accounts Payable Team, working closely in a 9 person team and part of a 60+ person Finance and Procurement team. The role is key to ensuring that all transactions are processed correctly, and paid within agreed terms. The role will also encompass expense claim processing, payment runs, ledger reviews and supplier reconciliations.
A role less ordinary.
1. Processing supplier bills and credit notes accurately and efficiently into NetSuite. Encompassing PO and manual bills.
2. Onboarding new suppliers by completing credit checks, and following the Company’s purchasing policy.
3. Raising payments across multiple banks and legal entities, in line with payment terms. Including Ad-hoc payments when required.
4. Processing and reconciling employee and company card expenses, escalating noncompliance to the Company’s expenses policy.
5. Take ownership for the end to end completion of accounts payable tasks for assigned region / country.
6. Complete month-end activities and resolve queries relating to PO or billing transactions relating to assigned legal entities.
Who you are.
7. Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume Accounts Payable team for at least 2 years.
8. Knowledge or experience within the hospitality or property industry. (highly desirable)
9. Previous experience of working across multiple legal entities. (highly desirable)
10. Previous experience using ERP Systems (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
11. Demonstrate experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable or transactional finance environment.
12. The willingness to learn end-to end Accounts Payable tasks.
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
14. Preferred to be studying or prepared to study towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) but this is not essential.
