Our client is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering, project management and building services consultancies. They are playing a leading role in some of the world’s most challenging and exciting engineering projects across sectors including Aviation, Energy, Cities and Development, Education, Transportation and Defence. They are currently looking for a Principal Public Health Engineer to join their on site team working on projects in Epsom and in East London. This will be a permanent, site-based role in landmark East London mixed use development which is part of a 10+ site-based team. Buildings include a museum, theatre, university and recording studio. Job Description: Main duties:
* Quality supervision of MEP packages across four buildings, specifically public health installations.
* Commissioning validation – review of contractors commissioning plans and witnessing of testing.
* Assure Civils/landscape are picking up any irrigation systems.
* Assure Civils/transport are picking up road/car park drainage inc. oil/petrol interception.
* Provision & issuing regular progress reports & responding to any appropriate TQs/RFIs.
* Undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties as required by the management team from time to time, in order to maintain flexibility in the organisation.
Requirements -Experience in design or construction of public health systems. Technical knowledge of the following systems:
* Above ground drainage (i.e., Civils are doing the below ground installation & also liaison with the utilities).
* Hot & cold-water systems, inc. wash down points in plantrooms & cleaners’ cupboards.
* Drain venting.
* Rainwater pipe work to ground level.
* Blue roofs.
* Gas supplies to the buildings.
* Water storage.
* Sprinklers.
* Metering & controls for the above systems.
* Operational testing/witnessing of the above systems.
Desirable: Site experience favoured.
