Salary: £24,604 per annum FTE (Pro rata £11,971.44)
Job Type: Part time – 18 hours per week, Fixed Term for 1 year

Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Parent Carer Worker to join our Children, Young People and Families Team, providing short-term, personalised emotional support and information to parent carers, utilising community assets to enhance wellbeing and address identified needs for the whole family.
This role, you will:
• Work closely with Parent Carers, providing them with one to one emotional support and information, advice and guidance on the telephone, with the potential for face to face and group support in the future.
• Have an understanding of the challenges that parent carers may experience with children with additional needs.
• Have knowledge of local services for children, young people, and adults in both voluntary and statutory sectors
• As a Parent Carer Family Worker having an understanding of safeguarding procedures is essential.
• An enhanced DBS will be required for this post as will the ability to work flexibly and be able to travel independently.
