Applications are invited for a permanent Band 5 Physiotherapist working 37 hours within Cowal Community and based in Cowal Community Hospital.
You will take responsibility for a designated clinical caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from care. You will work within multi-professional teams to ensure co-ordinated care for patients and carers. You will also be required to delegate tasks to Physiotherapy Support Workers and occasionally support students on clinical placement. Work areas include MSK Out Patients, Community Hospital Admissions, Palliative and Rehab Wards, and Rehabilitation classes and Community setting.
There are opportunities for training both internally and externally with funding available. This post is suitable for new graduates or those relocating to the UK.
Essential criteria include:
* BSc Physiotherapy or above qualification and HCPC registration.
* Experience in orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, frailty and falls prevention.
* Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team with appropriate IT skills.
* Desirable skills include CSP member, NHS experience, variety of clinical presentations and IT experience in TRAK or ECLIPSE.
* Knowledge of audit and working with HCSW and students.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
