Job summary Are you looking for an interesting and varied Clinical Support Worker(CSW)/ Health Care Assistant (HCA) post working in an Edgware Parkinson's MDT Team in a clinic-based setting? We have a part -time (permanent) Band 3 CSW/HCA post in our Barnet Parkinson's Service, working within our adult integrated MDT Parkinson's team (the service comprises specialist nurses, doctors, dietetics, OT, PT, SLT). We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant who is interested in this patient group and would like to join us. The post would be suitable for an existing Band 3 CSW/HCA. We offer care mainly in a clinic setting with some virtual clinics. Main duties of the job The Clinical Support Worker (CSW) will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse or allied health professional. The post holder will be expected to become proficient and competent in their area of practice by undertaking competency assessments specific to the area of clinical practice. The CSW will promote optimum independence and individualized client-centered care to a delegated caseload. The post holder will also support the Parkinson's nurse and doctors/therapy Team to deliver against key performance indicators and maintain the quality of the service within a multidisciplinary Parkinson's team, Clinic-based Parkinson's service in Barnet. To work with qualified nursing staff and physiotherapists and to provide an integrated service for patients in the area of pulmonary rehabilitation within the community and implement and progress agreed-planned treatment programs.
