Our Major Trauma Centre has been ranked number one in the country for survival rates, come and join the number one team We currently have a vacancy for Registered Nurses or ODP at Band 5 in our state of the art Theatre Suite in the specialties of cardiothoracic Theatre within the Royal Stoke University Hospital. We are very keen to recruit Scrub & Anaesthetic Practitioners with existing skills, all Nurses and ODP’s are welcome to apply. Ideally, we are looking for experienced theatre team members, but we welcome applications from newly qualified staff / or new to theatres who can demonstrate a keen interest in joining our team. Any students who qualify in the next 3 to 6 months are encouraged to apply. You will gain a wide range of experience and can expand your skills and knowledge in this challenging and rewarding environment. We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic candidates with the ability to work well within a challenging environment, and who can deliver high quality patient care from Scrub skill set. We promote a dual role workforce in our theatre department. In turn, we can offer you a structured preceptorship and induction programme for all new members of staff, plus access to on-going continuing professional education and development, appraisal and clinical supervision. We have a vacancies for a full time staff. We have a wide range of shifts available, and we cover both elective and emergency sessions over 7 days a week /24 hour a day (at Royal Stoke)Presently, We are covering emergencies with On-call and this will be changed to a 24 hours working which will include night and weekend work.
