An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Minor Illness Nurse to join our 4-partner training practice at Petersgate Medical Centre in North Doncaster (20/24 hours a week). We are a well-established training practice with a strong and supportive learning environment with experienced GP trainers.
You will work alongside our dedicated nursing team consisting of 2 practice nurses and 4 healthcare assistants, as well as the rest of our practice team including clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, mental health workers, and doctors.

Main duties of the job
* Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with minor illnesses in both face-to-face and telephone consultations in line with current evidence-based guidelines.
* Collaborate effectively with the nursing and wider multi-disciplinary team.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of learning.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using TPP SystmOne.

Experience
* Experience of working in a primary care setting or experience with minor illness, A/E or similar role.
* Experience of working autonomously.
* Experience in chronic disease management.
* Experience of working in a team.
* Ability to direct and co-ordinate programmes of care working autonomously and collaboratively.
* Ability to work on own initiative, acknowledging own limitations and recognising when onward referral is needed.
* Effective organisational skills.
