Hours: 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday - 38 hours a week, early finish on Fridays
OA are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Buyer for one of our clients based in Hatfield, on a Temporary basis for 1 - 2 month period.
Duties of a Buyer:
* Lead sourcing projects and manage supplier relationships to drive cost-effective procurement, ensure on-time delivery, and support sustainability goals aligned with the company’s net-zero pathway.
* Create and approve purchase orders, interpret MRP suggestions, and expedite orders to meet production needs and sales forecasts.
* Drive process improvements, maintain accurate supply chain data, and contribute to the development and maintenance of the risk register.
* Support the introduction of new products and materials, managing the PPAP and ECO processes for effective part creation and phase-out.
* Assist in reporting supplier performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and company-wide strategies.
What we would like from you:
* Previous experience within Buying / Purchasing role.
* Experience using MRP / ERP system.
* Worked within manufacturing / logistics environment.
* Ability to manage and build relationships.
