As Head of Systems & Technology, you will:
* Strategic IT Leadership – Develop and implement a comprehensive Systems & Technology strategy in partnership with the Director of Finance, aligned with PDSA’s three-year business plan and organisational objectives.
* Team Leadership & Development – Lead, manage, and develop the Systems & Technology team, fostering a culture of service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Operational Oversight & Service Delivery – Ensure the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of PDSA’s IT systems and infrastructure across a geographically spread organisation.
* Digital Transformation – Lead and deliver digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure all systems and practices comply with data protection regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
* Stakeholder Collaboration & Budget Management – Collaborate with internal departments to address technology needs, manage IT budgets (£5–£15m), and deliver cost-effective technology solutions.
We’re seeking someone with:
* Senior IT Leadership in Complex Environments – Proven experience in leading IT functions within a complex, multi-site service organisation.
* Infrastructure & Systems Expertise – In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, security, and technology best practices.
* Strategic & Project Planning – Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and deliver strategic IT initiatives that drive efficiency and innovation.
* Compliance & Governance Knowledge – Sound understanding of data protection legislation (e.g., GDPR) and IT compliance standards.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Excellent interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders, influence leadership, and align IT with business goals.
* Financial Acumen & Vendor Management – Demonstrated experience managing substantial IT budgets and external service providers to deliver value-driven outcomes.
