An interim opportunity has arisen to provide a specialist floating support service to residents within independent living schemes. This is a part-time position, working three days a week.
Location: Surrey
Type: 3 months, until the end of March
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Shifts: 9:00am – 5:00pm, three days per week, flexible
Main Duties
1. Manage a designated number of independent living schemes
2. Induct new residents to the scheme
3. Carry out weekly welfare calls via a home visit, meeting at a scheme office, intercom, phone call, encouraging contact methods that best assess residents’ wellbeing
4. Keep thorough tenant records, including details of vulnerabilities and scheme logs using the appropriate systems
5. Keep accurate scheme information and review it annually
6. Carry out fire risk assessments for all residents and update when their circumstances change
7. Carry out settling in visits, tenancy review visits/audits, and any other visits
8. Understand safeguarding issues and make safeguarding referrals
9. Act as the point of call for emergencies
10. Oversee contractors on site ensuring quality of work is maintained and carry out regular Health and Safety checks
Essential Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with older people or in a similar environment
2. Full and valid UK driving license
3. Excellent communication skills and IT literate
