The Role
Vuba Minerals is a new state-of-the-art Aggregate processing facility based in Goole. As a Purchasing and Inventory Planner, you will play a key role in forecasting, planning, and procurement of products, ensuring timely delivery to customers and effective inventory management around advertising campaigns and seasonal promotions.
As a Purchasing and Inventory Planner at Vuba, you will:
* Forecast volume changes and communicate these to suppliers within agreed lead times.
* Sourcing new suppliers, conducting due diligence and price research to ensure product quality.
* Collaborate with the stock control and goods in team to maintain appropriate inventory levels for smooth manufacturing.
* Analyze product and goods wastage, providing recommendations for cost improvements.
* Apply analytical thinking and numerical skills to identify errors or variances.
* Drive excellence, best practices, operational controls, cost savings, and service improvements.
* Work with the sales team and Production Manager to convert sales forecasts into production plans.
* Conduct monthly supply reviews with production.
* Manage weekly planning meetings.
* Review supplier service level reporting, investigating concerns and initiating meetings to resolve issues.
* Monitor clearance of non-moving and de-listed stock.
* Attend forecasting meetings with suppliers to ensure accurate supply.
* Manage the quarterly forecasting process with manufacturing and sales teams.
* Forecasting volume and demand for NPD and seasonal peaks.
We’re looking for somebody who is:
* Experienced in Manufacturing.
* Previously held a Demand planning role.
* Possesses excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Has advanced computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet.
* Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
* Able to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
Salary and Benefits:
