Job Title: Fire Alarm & Detection Systems Design Lead

Job Summary:
Join our team as a Fire Alarm & Detection Systems Design Lead for large-scale projects in the Rail, Highways, and Power sectors. You’ll oversee the design, planning, and implementation of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Implementation: Lead design and verification of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with standards (BS 5893, BS 9999, etc.).
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and contractors to integrate systems and meet client requirements.
Quality Control: Conduct design reviews, ensure integration with other systems, and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Health & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and manage safety through systems like Notify.
Leadership: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, leading and mentoring your team.
Technical Expertise:
Essential: Knowledge of fire alarm design, standards, and integration with safety systems (ASD, gaseous suppression).
Desirable: Rail sector experience (e.g., Network Rail), proficiency in CAD/BIM, and commissioning.
Qualifications:
Essential: FIA Fire Detection and Alarm Design Theory or equivalent, CSCS/ECS management card, SMSTS, full driving license.
Desirable: JIB ECS Gold Card, Chartered Fire Engineer status (or working toward).
Competencies:
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Experience:
Essential: Proven experience in fire alarm system design for large infrastructure projects.
Desirable: Experience with rail projects (e.g., Network Rail) and project management.
