We are currently offering a full-time days vacancy (37.5 hrs/week) in Thurnscoe S63. Shifts are 7.5 hours and are a mixture of Early (07.30-15.00) and lates (14.30-22.00), you would be required to work 3 weekends out of 4. Night shifts are 10 hours (21:45-07:45) you would be required to work 2 weekends out of 4.

At Ivy Care, you would assist people living with different mental health needs and physical disabilities to live their lives more independently and support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support.
We’re looking for people who are committed to developing their own professional skills and abilities. This is supported by a variety of training opportunities including safeguarding, communication, and the ability to complete the Care Certificate and an NVQ in Adult Care.

What we are looking for in candidates:

* Have an understanding of Autism, anxiety, and the challenging behaviours that this can present or be willing to learn
* Work as part of a dedicated team in one of our supported living services where we support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
As a Residential Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Working and supporting adults with complex needs to create positive outcomes and promote independence.
* Direct practical interactions with adults including activities, cooking, personal care, and engaging with the wider community.
* Providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
* Engage in planning and coordination of activities as a team.
* Engage in planning, implementation, and delivery of support plans.
* Working in partnership with other agencies.
* As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents to regulatory standards.
Because of the nature of its work with vulnerable adults, Ivy Care uses the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to make checks at an enhanced level. This post is subject to the enhanced level DBS check.
