A Primary School in the Bristol area is currently looking for a number of candidates to join their team as a Learning Mentor.
You will be joining a school dedicated to supporting children and their families both educationally and personally. The school is committed to providing a safe and friendly environment for the children.
The Role
These are full-time positions supporting small groups of children and children on a 1-to-1 basis who have a range of behavioural needs.
You will support the Class Teacher and work with children within the classroom who have behavioural, SEMH, and other SEND needs.
You will be expected to:
* Maintain high expectations for each child's success.
* Have experience working with children from challenging backgrounds.
* Collaborate with the SENDCo to understand each child's needs.
* Create a stimulating and purposeful environment.
* Manage and support children with their needs.
* Assess and communicate individual progress and successes.
