Summary
In this key role, you will help develop and implement Ada Infrastructure's EMEA data center legal policies; work closely with our regional and external legal teams; and grow Ada Infrastructure’s EMEA-based legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of EMEA-specific legal challenges and opportunities in the data center, digital infrastructure, or cloud-based services sectors.
Responsibilities
* Serve as a trusted adviser to the Ada Infrastructure EMEA business on the full life-cycle of Ada Infrastructure’s business, from early-stage activities such as land and power acquisition to data center development and operations.
* Provide region-specific, expert legal advice and guidance to the business on a wide range of matters, including contract negotiations, employment matters, intellectual property rights, advertising and marketing regulations, disputes, and data privacy laws.
* Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements, which may include sales agreements, supply agreements, partnership agreements, and lease agreements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives while minimizing legal risks.
* Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to keep abreast of changes and developments that may impact the company's operations within the region.
* Manage and oversee litigation matters.
* Assist in the development and implementation of corporate, regional policies and procedures.
* Develop and provide training and education to internal stakeholders on legal issues.
* Engage and manage external legal counsel and consultants.
* Support corporate governance initiatives and compliance programs to maintain the company's integrity and reputation in the marketplace.
Skills & Experience
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Minimum 10 years’ leading and developing high performing legal teams
Relevant industry experience preferred
Proven track record of successfully negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to move fast and take smart risks
Demonstrated success as a growth-minded, authentic, service-oriented leader capable of motivating and guiding teams in an entrepreneurial environment
Thrives in a fast-paced and continuously developing environment
Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, communication and collaboration in a team environment
Self-starter with superior analytical skills; a problem solver with an astute attention to detail
