This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in the development, maintenance, and optimisation of control systems used across a large-scale, highly regulated manufacturing facility. The Role: As a Control Electrical Engineer, you will provide essential technical support across a wide range of systems. Your role will involve ensuring system efficiency, supporting the commissioning of new equipment, and ensuring compliance with key safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal company policies Proactively report unsafe acts or conditions, following the company's Near Miss Reporting system Develop and implement programmable solutions to improve system performance and plant output Maintain accurate records of any changes to programmed systems or interventions Provide technical support for the maintenance of all programmable and electrical systems on-site Stay up to date with safety legislation, ensuring all systems remain compliant or highlighting areas for improvement Create and manage technical documentation such as P&IDs, schematics, ladder logic, and specifications in accordance with company procedures Organise, conduct, and analyse trials for system improvements, making recommendations based on findings Support and instruct operational staff in the effective use of PLC-controlled equipment What Were Looking For: A strong commitment to Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards The ability to identify and resolve potential issues proactively A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on delivering business benefits Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills A solid understanding of company policies and procedures to ensure site compliance Qualifications & Experience: Degree or relevant experience in Electrical, Electronic, Software, or a related Engineering discipline Proficiency in PLC programming across a variety of systems Project management experience Knowledge of Machinery and Process Directives Experience with commissioning new and existing plant and equipment Familiarity with process design, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic/robotic systems Strong IT skills (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Previous experience working within multi-functional teams If you are an experienced Control Electrical Engineer looking for a new and exciting challenge, we would love to hear from you.
