Outreach Tutor / Outreach Teacher - One-to-One
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Remuneration: £15 - £25 per hour, commensurate with experience (outside IR35)
Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours per week; flexibility to work mornings only or expand caseload

Role:
- We are looking for a dedicated Outreach Tutor to provide tailored educational support to students unable to attend mainstream education due to reasons such as Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, or those at risk of exclusion.
- This role offers significant job satisfaction, involving one-to-one and group sessions covering subjects like basic Mathematics, English, Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education, interventions, and mentoring.
- Sessions are conducted in various settings, including pupils' homes, local libraries, and schools.
- Candidates should possess a strong understanding of literacy and numeracy, alongside experience working with children, particularly those with SEND.
- Students range from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 11, with support extending up to GCSE/Functional Skills levels.
- An immediate opportunity is available at a Southend secondary school to work one-on-one with a Year 10 student, supporting GCSE English and Mathematics.
