MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. H.S. Diploma or equivalent
2. 4+ years of electro-mechanical manufacturing experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 3+ years of soldering experience
2. Experience with electronic inspection
3. Prior J-STD-001 experience
4. Prior IPC-610-A solder inspection experience
ABOUT THE JOB:
The Sr. Assembler position is responsible for building products in a fast-paced environment. This position is that of an electro-mechanical assembler with significant manufacturing experience, capable of following work instructions and engineering drawings in order to assemble situational awareness products of varying complexities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform electrical assembly to J-STD-001 and IPC-610 standards and maintain certification.
2. Perform assembly and inspection operations utilizing optical aids, including but not limited to microscopes, magnifying glasses, and electronic vision apparatus.
3. Adhere to company policies and procedures as directed.
4. Assemble product correctly in a timely manner while ensuring product quality.
5. Assemble product following work instructions and engineering drawings.
6. Follow the direction of assigned line lead and supervisor in order to establish priorities.
7. Function as a member of a high performing team to accomplish a common goal.
8. Operate manual, semi-automated, automated and computer-based equipment as required.
9. May be required to support other work cells or areas as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Strong electrical assembly and/or soldering skills (wire wrap, through hole, and SMT).
2. Cable assembly and preparation skills (stripping wire, tinning, etc.)
3. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis.
4. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Highly organized, self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
6. Ability to follow work instructions and mechanical drawings.
7. Ability to use basic hand tools and equipment safely.
8. Ability to remain focused while performing repetitive tasks.
9. Extreme dexterity while working with small components.
10. Ability to evaluate and repair products of varying complexity.
11. Ability to assist others in training documented tasks as required.
12. Ability to follow work instructions, schematics, and engineering drawings.
13. Intermediate-level computer operations skills required for access to technical data, required documentation and or information.
