JGA are partnered with a leading organisation within their sector, who are seeking a Head of Payroll to lead their high volume, complex payroll and payroll team, on an interim basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Operating the payroll of 11 entities across the group, plus future acquisitions.
2. Working closely with HR team for benefit reporting.
3. Day-to-day management of a small payroll team.
4. Process starters & leavers, ensuring all statutory deductions and third-party payments are made.
5. Collation of timesheets and overtime payments.
6. Communicate any payroll changes to the business.
7. Ensure accuracy of information for HMRC.
8. Submit monthly Pension to the Pension Providers.
9. Prepare cost journals for PAYE Payroll.
10. Compile monthly and yearly reports.
11. Prepare PAYE reports for audit & legislative requirements & costing analysis.
12. Resolve employees queries regarding payroll.
13. Supporting the annual external audit process.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a high volume, multi-entity payroll function.
2. Previous experience managing a small team.
3. Process and accuracy driven.
4. Previous experience working with taking on new acquisitions.
5. Previous experience leading various payroll projects and wider business projects.
6. Compliance and detail oriented.
7. Self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative; enthusiastic with 'can do' attitude, knows what good looks like.
8. Great communication skills - this person will interact across all levels of the business, including senior operational and commercial leaders.
9. Proven record in managing centralised Payroll functions and ability to work to deadlines.
