THE ROLE
As a Design Engineer, you’ll be at the core of the business, working closely with customers and internal teams to develop precision-engineered products. Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software.
* Developing product designs from customer specifications to finished solutions.
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and certification bodies (Lloyds, DNV, ABS).
* Supporting manufacturing by ensuring designs are optimised for fabrication.
* Ensuring designs meet ISO9001 quality standards and regulatory requirements.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for a technically strong and ambitious Design Engineer who’s eager to take the next step in their career. You should have:
* Experience in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and technical drawing.
* A background in design for manufacture (fabrication, precision engineering, or related fields).
* Knowledge of steel materials and fabrication processes.
* An analytical and logical approach to problem-solving.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
* Any exposure to marine, offshore, or defence industries is highly desirable.
