Musicians Ltd is the largest Instrumental & Performing Arts school in the Cayman Islands today. Role Overview:
You will be employed as an instrumental music teacher at both local private primary/ secondary schools and at our Musicians Ltd Music Studio.
Instrumental lessons and group classes are offered both in local schools during the week and at our dedicated Music and Performing Arts Studio after school and on Saturdays. All instrumental lessons are given once weekly for thirty minutes each week. Our instrumental students work towards their Trinity Guildhall Board grade examinations.
Successful candidates with a Musical Theatre background would be offered opportunities to combine Instrumental Tuition work with Performing Arts Group classes.
Must Have Qualifications and Experience:
· Primary instrument (Grade 8 or equivalent) from the following: Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Violin, Cello, Guitar, Drums, Voice, Trumpet.
· A strong foundation in Piano (Minimum Grade 5 or equivalent).
· Minimum of two years teaching instrumental lessons to children.
· A full driving license.
Desirable:
It would also be to your advantage if the candidate has one or both of the following:
· PGCE or equivalent with a minimum of two years experience.
· A background and interest in Musical Theatre.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver rich engaging Music Instruction on an individual basis.
2. Staff are required to take lesson attendance, maintain a practice log for their students and produce progress reports each term for parents.
3. All Musicians Ltd staff are allocated administration time and are required to plan lessons according to the student’s needs.
4. Students are given regular opportunities to perform and you are required to prepare them for various events throughout the year.
5. All Musicians Ltd staff are required to assist backstage with our annual Performing Arts production and other events throughout the year.

Starting salary subject to qualifications and experience: KYD $40,000 - $50,000 (US$48,780 - $60,975) plus statutory Pension & Medical benefits and a return flight.
