Senior Architectural Technician & Team Leader Positions
Carlton Design Partnership Ltd is a busy architectural practice in Southampton. We specialise in residential projects for large national housing developers along with smaller regional housing developers across the UK. Working on projects ranging from 10 - 2000+ homes with low - medium rise mixed use new builds and refurbs.
Due to an increase in volume of new work, we are now seeking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technician & Team Leader to join our team.
You will be working on volume residential projects, from major national house builders. You will need significant experience using AutoCAD and an understanding of Revit would also be beneficial but not essential, as well as having extensive design, technical and organisational skills. For the team leader role, you will be capable of taking the initiative and you will be expected to lead project teams. You will also be able to illustrate experience in maintaining and developing good client relationships, have excellent visual and verbal communication skills as well as having current knowledge of UK Building Regulations & CDM responsibilities.
Role requirements:
* 5+ years of post-qualification experience working in a similar role in the UK.
* Experience working on UK residential developer housing projects is essential.
* Experience of working closely with new and existing client base.
* Proficiency in operating AutoCAD is essential. Revit experience also beneficial.
* Understanding/knowledge of the latest UK building regulations.
* Excellent in your use of English language and appropriate communication methods.
* Able and willing to pro-actively contribute to the successful completion of projects from the outset.
* Living within a sensible commuting distance. Most preferably within Hampshire.
Responsibilities include:
* Working on the production of residential working drawings.
* Checking/approving/coordinating third party design drawings for any technical issues.
* Liaising with building control/NHBC to discharge conditions etc.
* Producing external works and conveyance layouts to client briefs, including coordinating with civil engineers layouts etc.
* Taking a design team leader role in the running of projects.
* Attending site visits and client meetings.
