We offer 3 female beds and 7 male beds within one setting all under the care of an experienced and skilled MDT including psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, allied health professionals and psychology. The service is looking for an enthusiastic individual with acute mental health leadership experience, to enhance and deliver the work being undertaken to optimise the Trust's acute / unplanned pathway. Main duties of the job This position requires an inspirational leader who can strengthen the management of ongoing clinical developments and delivery of care within our PICU and the wider Inpatient Service, as part of the senior clinical leadership team. The nature of this complex patient group ensures that PICU is a dynamic and often challenging environment. It would suit a professional who wishes to further develop their skills in evidence-based clinical practice and leadership with experience of working in Mental Health Inpatient Units. Utilising creativity and engagement skills, the co-management of a diverse multi-disciplinary group will be central to this role. Working closely with the Team Leader, Modern Matron, Service Manager and other senior professionals, you will be supported and encouraged to progress. The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate for the ongoing pursuit of excellent care. The role requires advanced assertiveness and organisational skills, and an ability to support clinical decision making within the inpatient service, sometimes out of working hours.
