Your new role Oversee daily accounting, payroll, and pensions. Follow legal standards and manage public funds. Help with internal and external audits and prepare financial reports. Assist in creating policies and strategies. Work well with other departments and external partners. Mentor and manage staff, promoting teamwork and performance. Encourage continuous improvement and share best practices. What you'll need to succeed Must be a certified accountant with a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA). Experience in preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and financial reporting. Experience in leading and motivating a team. Experience in supporting various finance services and stakeholders.
