The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering and Manufacturing Consultant for a contract role. The initial contract is until September 2024; however, the project is for 2 years, so there is potential for an extension of the contract. The role is to support the design and delivery of the digital operation transformation.
You will possess extensive knowledge in engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and process design. This role involves working closely with clients to optimize their manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Duties
1. Collaborate and build rapport with the clients' engineering and manufacturing teams to understand the current process and challenges and establish best practices.
2. Conduct thorough assessments of current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
3. Develop customized future process solutions to address client-specific challenges and goals.
4. Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes that maximize productivity and minimize waste.
5. Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex manufacturing problems.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
Experience Required
Extensive experience in engineering (e.g., automotive, aerospace) with strong knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes and principles. Advantageous if you have experience using MES, Teamcentre, and Oracle. MUST have consulting experience/background delivering manufacturing and engineering processes for a client. Strong stakeholder management skills.
