Early Years Teacher or Early Years Professional for Nursery (Level 6 or QTS) Salary: £21,731 – £38,330 (Dependent on qualification and experience) “His eyes are orange, his tongue is black.,…” If you know the rest of this then you could be the ideal person for our school Following the relocation of our school nursery into a new classroom space, we are looking to appoint a specialist Early Years Teacher or a practitioner with Early Years Professional Status who can nurture and facilitate those essential and early foundations for the most youngest children in our friendly school – taking the lead in our school nursery. This, with the support and guidance of our current Early Years Phase Leader. The ideal person will be: • A specialist who can implement research-based approaches to support child development • Committed and driven to make a difference – always willing to go the extra mile to support some of the most appreciative yet disadvantaged children and families in our community • Able to make warm and positive relationships and support parents with the anxiety that comes as part of starting school for the first time • A proficient speaker of grammatically sound English • A confident and dynamic practitioner in Phonics • Knowledgeable about how to promote a love of early reading and how to encourage parents to support reading in the home • Able to co-ordinate staff so they are deployed effectively and safely in support of the children • Able to ensure a vibrant, well structured, and purposeful learning environment which is rooted in the principles of effective early learning Our provision is aimed at children from the age of 3 and, who we hope, will then be fully supported and nurtured to join our Reception classes when the time comes. Our school is on an exciting journey, after being renamed and rebranded for the start of this academic year – with a new logo and a new school uniform. We have a new Early Years Outdoor Area being installed at present and then further work to do on implementing a new nursery curriculum that is aligned to what is taught in Reception. We are looking for someone who is keen to be involved in this project and someone who can build up the credibility of our provision in the wider Burton area – beyond the school’s natural reach. Visits to the school are warmly encouraged. Only by visiting will you appreciate the scale for potential and the delightfulness of our children.
