We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager ideally within textiles or fabrics, although not a necessity. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new sales leads while also managing a portfolio of existing accounts, negotiating client pricing, and forecasting sales revenue within all markets. Our client has a Sales Manager based in the North and South, so you would be looking after the East Midlands with occasional visits to the Leicester office, which is based in LE5. As the Sales Manager, I am looking for someone with a proven track record of growing new business, although the first year will be about learning all about the products. There are around 6000 products, and moving forward, we are looking for someone who is used to targets. There will be travel involved in the role.
Key Responsibilities as the Sales Manager:
1. Responsible for the development of the brand.
2. Grow customer base with prices, product range offer, training, technical support, and any other needs.
3. Identify correct decision makers within target customers (designers, architects, manufacturers, facilities managers, etc.).
4. Be a creative force about the distribution network, sales operations, and new targets.
5. Build knowledge about the competition within the marketplace and provide feedback to the business.
6. Budget responsibility defined by branch operation manager.
7. Document customer information and share with back-office.
Ideal Experience:
1. Experience in sales or business development in B2B in relevant markets.
2. Experience in selling textiles/fabric would be a plus.
3. Able to organise own diary and prioritise work.
4. Good balance between strategic work and operational excellence (execution/make it happen).
5. Familiar with Pull (product specification towards prescribers) - Push (sales) Business Model.
6. Experience with modern ICT tools like Office365, social media, etc.
7. Full UK Driving License.
