We are looking for a passionate and committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, ensuring their individual learning requirements are met.
2. Assist in developing and implementing personalised learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
3. Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes students' social, emotional, and academic development.
4. Implement behaviour management strategies to support students in developing positive behaviours and coping mechanisms.
5. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to deliver a cohesive and effective learning experience.
6. Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
7. Experience working with children with SEMH needs or similar educational support roles.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
10. A genuine passion for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
11. Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs is an advantage.
