What is the role?
As an innovative leader you will strive to provide an effective and efficient social work service to adults and their carers across South Ayrshire enabling them to Grow Well, Live Well and Age Well. The post holder will provide day to day leadership and management of social work services in a designated Community Hub. This will include being responsible for the direct line management of Team Leaders within a community hub providing access to social work services, assessment, and review functions.
Incorporating regular audit and evaluation activity with a continuous focus on quality improvement, will be fundamental remit of the postholder.
The post holder will model professional Social Work values and be confident in the management of complex ethical and legal issues that impact on the delivery of services. This will include having the ability to provide advice/guidance on service specific situations and to identify, analyse and respond to any complaints in line with existing policies and procedures.

The Grade of this post is Grade 4 / Level 14; the hourly rate is from £32.36 to £34.33 and the annual salary is from £59, to £62,.
The successful candidates will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.

Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
