Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the operations of our bar/restaurant on Fridays from 5pm to Midnight. Other shifts will be available for the right candidate as we are looking for several shifts to be covered, but firstly we require a supervisor/manager to oversee our staff once our GM has gone home for the evening. This will require the smooth running of the bar and restaurant and to ensure that the staff are supported with any issues that arise. The ability to support the staff with any conflict management is required and taking responsibility for the lock up at the end of the evening along with the staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and team management, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant atmosphere while ensuring that all staff adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
* Supervise bar staff, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies.
* Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Train and mentor staff on customer service excellence.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Lock up and secure the pub at the end of the Friday shift and ensure that the property is empty and safe to leave.
Skills
* Proven experience in supervising a bar or restaurant environment.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent bartending skills and use of Epos Till System.
* Effective team management abilities, fostering a positive work environment.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
* Cellar management ability to change barrels and gas when required.
* Stock control - Ensure the bars are left stocked and leave details of any stock required for the GM.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 – 16 per week
